#WrestlebaeWednesday 09.19.18 | @AngelShaunta
This week’s Wrestlebae isn’t Sasha Banks, although she looks exactly like her. Real talk I think she’s Sasha’s body double. She’s one of the younger Wrestlebaes in the community, but even at the age of 18 her wrestling knowledge is ON POINT. Meet Angel, she’s my go to for wrestling hot takes because she goes hard, No Holds Barred. She’s passionate, she respects the business but when she feels a way she will let the internet know. Which is why getting her background on how she became a wrestling fan during the time when the women’s division was S-T-R-U-G-G-L-I-N-G was important. Read her story below.
How did you get into wrestling?
I got into wrestling because of my mom, actually! It was basically a family tradition for us to watch wrestling. The first time I saw it I was hooked, sounds cliche but it’s so true. It stuck to me like super glue.
What is your earliest wrestling memory?
My earliest wrestling memory would probably be Trish and Lita main eventing Raw in 2004. I was four at the time and that’s when I like really started to pay attention to wrestling and plus Trish was my favorite at the time so for me that was a big deal. Not to mention, I still think and watch that match all the time, they really popped off for the girls.
Your favorite wrestler of all time? (male, female or both)
My favorite male wrestler of all time would have to be Shawn Michaels, his charisma, his charm, his looks, and don’t get me started on the wrestling. He’s literally one my biggest inspirations in wrestling. My favorite female wrestler of all time is Sasha Banks! If it wasn’t obvious enough. Her and I have so much in common that it’s kind of scary, from the first time I saw her in NXT I knew she’d have a big impact in my life and she did. Not only is she drop dead gorgeous but she’s literally the best woman in the WWE.
Best match of all time?
I’m a women’s wrestling enthusiast so the best match of all time for me is Sasha Banks VS. Bayley at NXT Takeover. That match literally had me in tears watching them go out there and put it all on the line and give their all. That right there brought back all my love for wrestling and made me realize that I actually wanted to live my dream as a wrestler.
If you were a WWE Superstar what would your theme song be?
My theme song would be Girlicious- Like me, when I was little I used to play it on Yahoo music and walk around my room, acting like I was making my entrance to the ring.
Best Match Stipulation? (TLC, Steel Cage, etc.)
Last man standing, I love seeing them fight until the finish. It keeps me on my toes because when you think they’re gonna give up, they don’t. They go toe to toe until they can’t no longer get up anymore. Especially when they get thrown through stuff and can’t stand up. Like when Batista speared Undertaker off of the stage at Backlash.
Best WWE Theme song of all time?
CM Punk- This Fire Burns. It’s literally my hype song, I can listen to it whenever I’m doing absolutely anything. I love Rock music, it literally has my heart and plus I used to love CM Punk, he was so damn good at his job.
Royal Rumble, hands down. I love seeing all of the surprise entrants and there’s always some crazy stunts pulled during the rumble. Since they added a women’s royal rumble, it’s made me an even happier chick!
Charlotte Flair. I don’t know what it is about her but I legit have the biggest crush on that woman and I don’t even try to hide it. So if she reads this... I hope she calls me.
Fuck, Marry, Kill: Sonya Deville, Charlotte, Becky Lynch? Explain why.
I don’t want to kill any of them because I love all three of those women but if I had to choose.. I’d probably Marry Charlotte, c’mon I call her my wife now so it’s only right. Fuck Becky because she’s fine as hell, I want her to crush me with her thighs, that’s the way I want to go out. Lastly, Kill Sonya, I love her but there’s no way I was killing Charlotte or Becky, that wouldn’t be it, Chief.
